Solar enrgy from local schools

Anton Hack has contacted me about this excellent solar energy initiative for local schools. Please support it if you are able.

The community share launch is on Wed September 18th, 6 – 9 pm at the St. Leonards Academy of Energise Sussex Coast’s Solar for Schools project.

We have pre-registered 6 local schools and intend to install arrays on several more.

The St. Leonards Academy project will be one of the largest of its kind in the country – they aim to put 1066 panels on their roofs.

Each educational establishment will save thousands on their bills and meet much of their energy needs via these arrays.

Our Ore Valley campus installation at East Sussex College, which was installed earlier this year, is now generating 76% of their needs and saving them around £6,000 every year, as well as generating a Community Fund which will go back into local projects.

If you have any questions or are interested in helping this spread to more schools in the East Sussex area, please let me know, and please share the news or our website link ( http://www.energisesussexcoast.co.uk/) with anyone who you think might be interested.

  1. Thank you Cliff, that’s kind of you to publicise this. Sorry to be pedantic but you have missed out an ‘e’ from energy in the title.

    Thanks again, regards, Anton.
